'Tests done, hopefully will be negative'

Star Online Report

The Bangladesh national team players are undergoing Covid-19 tests today as part of BCB's coronavirus management plan to ensure cricketers' safety. The cricketers were hoping that their test results would come back negative and they will be able to continue cricketing activities as planned.

The players have been partaking in individual training sessions after a long break imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. The Tigers are scheduled to depart for Sri Lanka on the tentative date of September 23rd but the individual sessions had to be put on hold after several members of the team's support staff exhibited coronavirus-like symptoms.

Soumya Sarkar provided his sample for testing today and wrote on Facebook: "Test done, hopefully the result will be negative."
