Veteran umpire Mausm passes away at 51

Veteran umpire Md Afjalur Rahman Masum passed away following a cardiac arrest in the capital today morning. He was 51 at the time of his death.

Masum was a first-class umpire whose officiating career spanned over three decades. He had been an Umpire Coach of the BCB since 2014.   

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed condolences at the demise of Masum.  

"The BCB extends deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Afjalur Rahman Masum and prays for the salvation of his soul," read a BCB-issued press release.
