Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is set to attend the first day of the opening Test of the two-match series between Bangladesh and Pakistan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Friday, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sources confirmed.

The PCB informed the BCB that a delegation of 10 to 12 officials will travel to Dhaka for the match. Although no formal agenda has been set for Naqvi’s visit, he is expected to meet BCB ad hoc committee president Tamim Iqbal during the trip.

The series marks the first meeting between Bangladesh and Pakistan in the current World Test Championship cycle. Bangladesh had stunned Pakistan 2-0 in Rawalpindi in 2024, and the hosts will be eager to make another strong start as they chase their first win of the current cycle.
