Tigresses to play World Cup warmups against New Zealand, Ireland

Bangladesh women's cricket team will take on New Zealand and Ireland in the warm-up matches ahead of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, as the countdown to the global event gathers pace.

The International Cricket Council confirmed the warm-up schedule on Sunday, with 12 matches set to be played between June 6 and 10 across Derby, Loughborough and Cardiff before the tournament officially begins on June 12.

Bangladesh will begin their preparations against New Zealand in Loughborough on June 6 before facing Ireland at the same venue on June 9.

The warm-up fixtures are expected to provide crucial preparation for Bangladesh, who secured their place in the World Cup through the Global Qualifier alongside Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands.

Bangladesh are scheduled to open their World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on June 14 at Edgbaston. The other teams in Group A are: Australia, India, Pakistan and South Africa.
