Jahir Rayhan confirms Asian Athletics semifinal spot

Bangladesh sprinter Jahir Rayhan qualified for the semifinal in the Asian Athletics Championship in Thailand today. 

Jahir, clocking at 21.67 seconds, came fourth in the Heat-2 to qualify. Jahir was ranked 20th among the 24 sprinters who confirmed spots in the semifinal.  

The semifinal is scheduled for 5:00pm today. 

Earlier, on Friday, Bangladesh's fastest sprinter Imranur Rahman failed to qualify for the finals of the 100m sprint by a whisker after clocking 10.40s, which is 0.15 seconds more than the time that he had set in the heat the day before.
