A stellar field confirmed

The Bashundhara Bangladesh Open, the first-ever Asian Tour event to be hosted in Dhaka from May 27 to 30, has been confirmed to feature a stellar field from the tour after the last date of registration expired yesterday.

According to the entry list published on the AsinTour.com last night, the event will feature seven winners of the tour -- Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh, Mardan Mamat of Singapore, SSP Chawrasia of India, Chapchai Nirat of Thailand, Prom Meesawat of Thailand, Marcus Both of Australia and Masahiro Kawamura of Japan -- multiple tournament winners Rashid Khan of India and Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand and Order of Merit winner Thaworn Wiratchant of Thailand, among others.                

The 300,000-dollar event will feature 30 golfers from host Bangladesh apart from Siddikur, 10 from the Professional Golf Tour of India and 110 from the Asian Tour.
