Rafi, Rafat to fly for Russia tomorrow

Golam Rafi Khan and Rafat Shams, two 12-year old ambassadors from Bangladesh, will leave for Russia tomorrow to take part in the 6th Gazprom Football for Friendship International Programme. They will be joined by kids from over 210 countries from around the world in Moscow.

Rafi, selected as a defender, will be part of 32 international teams of friendship which will play against each other in the competition. He will undergo a three-day training camp in Moscow for his team, the Galapagos Sea Lion, before the start of the competition.

Rafat, meanwhile, will act as a kid journalist to cover all the local and global activities of the programme.

Rafi and Rafat will also participate in the Children's Forum, which will provide the youngsters an opportunity to meet their peers from other countries, share their experiences, and discuss different issues with famous footballers and journalists.
