How reliefs can be sent for Rohingya refugees

State Minister for Foreign affairs Shahriar Alam today called upon the countrymen to send reliefs for Rohingya people who have fled into Bangladesh from violence in Rakhine state of Myanmar.

He made the call in a post on twitter this afternoon.

He also provided the detailed contact of the local administrative authorities [M Mahidur, ADC of Cox's Bazar (01556640101) and Naser, ADC 01732592321] for sending relief aids.

Alternatively, fund can be deposited on the account: "Name- humanitarian assistant to the Myanmar illegally migrated Rohingya, Account number: 33024625, Sonali Bank Limited, Cox'sBazar branch)".

Besides, people can send the relief materials to the address -- Disaster and Relief department, Deputy Commissioner Office, Cox's Bazar. Phone: 0341-63200.

More than 4,00,000 Rohingyas crossed into Bangladesh fleeing violence in Myanmar, with 10 to 20 thousands arriving every day, and that the number may rise to a million by the year end if the influx continues, according to the UN.
