A heartwarming voice…

I have known Kona for quite a long time. We're part of the same social circle and so we always got invited to the same place. As a result, I always had the chance to meet her and share a few words with her, but, before interviewing her for Star Showbiz, I had no clue what was in store. Because I didn't approach her for an interview till now, she had begun to think that I dislike her or her singing, which couldn't be the farthest thing from the truth. But, she never said anything about this to me; she waited till I called her and asked to profile her in Star Showbiz. The cover of Star Showbiz is reserved for people who have achieved a certain level of professionalism and status in their respective fields, they are talked about, and they are revered. Kona is here today because she has those achievements. She was always in the list of deserving stars. She is amongst those in Bangladesh who have stuck to their guns over time. Even more importantly, she both has a melodious voice and is trained as a singer. She isn't like many one-hit wonders we see in Bangladesh. She has tried acting and is also involved in the media over all, but her heart and soul belongs to singing. This unwavering dedication, coupled with her training and her naturally melodious voice are all the right ingredients for a growing career. I believe Kona will be a significant name in this field of singing for a long time. I believe her songs will be heard by people of our country for decades to come. Another very important element which Kona has done right is she has invested in presentation and visual media. As almost everyone will agree, her music videos are of a different league. Although not directly financially viable, I firmly believe this is a very positive move, especially if one considers the long run. Going back to Kona's thoughts about me and Star Showbiz, and I'm saying this for all talents in every field – if you have the quality, if you've made something of yourself, then you need not worry about who likes your work and who doesn't. Nothing is more important than knowing one's own quality. Kona's popularity in the field of singing alone speaks volumes about how talented a singer she is, and talent never has to seek attention. The limelight will eventually seek talent out of the shadows.
