Urmila rushed to hospital from shooting spot

Popular TV actress Urmila Srabonti Kar has been rushed to the hospital, after she fell drastically ill while filming a TV series.

Urmila was shooting for Syed Shakil-directed TV play “Shona'r Shikol” in Uttara, where she fell unwell suddenly on Thursday. She was taken to a nearby hospital immediately, and later shifted to the Universal Medical College Hospital.

Urmila's mother informed that the actor is suffering from kidney complications. She is scheduled to have a surgery this morning.

“She was working full throttle, but then she fell really sick, and we got really concerned. I wish her a speedy recovery,” Syed Shakil told The Daily Star.

Speaking to this correspondent at the hospital, Urmila said “I just want everyone's good wishes and blessings, so I can get better soon.”
