Noted singer Jane Alam passed away today (March 2) at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital around 10 pm. The 65 year old was under treatment at the facility.

Jaya Ahsan’s new film “Alatchakra” will be released on March 19. The film is produced by Rahima Begum, and directed by Habibur Rahman. The production is based on Ahmed Sofa’s novel of the same name, and casts Ahmed Reza Rubel opposite her in lead.

Popular bassist and frontman of Aurthohin, Saidus Salehin Khaled Sumon, better known by his nickname ‘Bassbaba Sumon’, has been suffering from a severe spinal cord injury for a while. He was supposed to travel to Germany for further treatment, but could not do so, owing to the restrictions induced by the pandemic.
