Play and Study, Win the Race book launched

Play and Study, Win the Race, a research-based book jointly authored by former Bangladesh National Cricket Team captain Shahriar Nafees and educationist H M Atif Wafik, was launched on August 28, 2026, at the Media Center, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNSC), Dhaka.

Published by Koli Prokashoni, the book is the outcome of nearly three years of research and engagement with academics, athletes, educators and professionals. Wilkes University, USA, the University of Scholars, Bangladesh, and the Bangladesh Cricket Board played key roles in supporting and contributing to the research behind the book. The book explores the relationship between education and sports and challenges the traditional notion that young people must choose between academic excellence and athletic achievement.

The launching ceremony was attended by S M Mohiuddin Koli, publisher of Koli Prokashoni; Capt Mobasher Ali, Registrar and Treasurer of University of Scholars; S M Nahidul Islam, Senior Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Business Administration; Farhana Sharmin, Assistant Director, International Programs & Services; Advocate Eshita Tasnim; and other academics, professionals, and distinguished guests.
