Atul Khare of UN due today

Under-Secretary-General for Field Support of the United Nations Peacekeeping Atul Khare arrives in the capital today to discuss peacekeeping cooperation.

This is going to be a routine visit the UN Under Secretary General undertakes in different countries, said the official.

Atul will visit Bangladesh Institute for Peace Support Operation and Training (BIPSOT) besides holding meetings with top government officials, said diplomatic sources. He will also meet the media before wrapping up his three-day tour.

Atul became the head of the Department of Field Support on March 2.
