Fire at Metro Rail project workers’ room at Shahbagh

A fire broke out at a makeshift room for workers of metro rail project at Shahbagh this evening.

The fire broke out around 9:30pm and was brought under control after around 20 minutes, said Abul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Shahbagh Police Station.

Two units of fire fighters went to the spot to douse the flames, the OC said.

There were no reports of casualties so far.
