Govt to give lower court judges tablets
The government will provide district and sessions judges across the county with tablets as a part of the judiciary's digitalisation.
The information and communication technology ministry yesterday handed over 200 tablets to the law ministry to distribute them among the lower court judges.
Law Minister Anisul Huq, after receiving the tablets from ICT State Minister Zunaed Ahmed Palak, at his secretariat office said the device would help accelerate judicial activities and ultimately reduce case backlogs. Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha at a programme in Dhaka on May 30 had commented that the judiciary lagged behind in terms of digitalisation, said a law ministry press release.
