HC cancels bail of 3 'carjackers' for false info
The High Court on Tuesday cancelled its earlier order that granted bail to three accused of a carjacking case, as they allegedly submitted the bail petition containing false information over the incident.
The court also issued a rule upon the three accused and their lawyer Sheikh Julfikar Alam and Tadbirkarak (who looks after the case) Arif Hossain to explain as to why appropriate legal action should not be taken against them for suppressing information to it. The HC came up with the order after Golam Kibria, plaintiff of the case, and also a Supreme Court lawyer, informed incident to it.
The accused --Mannan, Khokon Chandra Bishwash and Nazrul Islam Tuhin are now in custody in other cases, Kibria told The Daily Star. He said that his private car, along with cash, ornaments and mobile set, was snatched away from Hatirjheel area on March 14 last year. Kibria said the accused got bail on last November 16 submitting a bail petition annexing a manipulated FIR.
