Couple more days needed to fix problem, say officials
The derailment of a freight train at Jatrapur in Brahmanbaria's Ashuganj upazila on Sunday is still disrupting passenger train schedules with most departures from Chittagong Railway Station being delayed by up to three and a half hours yesterday.
Talking to The Daily Star, the station's manager, Md Abul Kalam Azad, hoped that the situation would improve in a day or two.
Mohammad Mokbul Ahammad, general manager of Bangladesh Railway (East Zone), told journalists at the station yesterday that they would try to maintain schedules during Eid.
