Girl raped

A five-year-old girl was raped allegedly by a youth at Baisha village in Keshabpur upazila of Jessore district yesterday. Mahatab Uddin, officer-in-charge of Keshabpur Police Station, said Raju Ahmed, 20, son of Nasir Marol of the village, forcibly took the girl to a nearby garden and raped her. Hearing screams, locals rushed to the spot, rescued the victim and sent her to the upazila health complex. However, Raju managed to flee the scene.
