Bubly to resume shooting after maternity break
Dhallywood actress Shobnom Bubly is set to return to the camera after an extended break. She will resume acting this September with the shooting of director Zahid Hossain's upcoming film “Dhakaiya Debdas”.
Bubly was last seen in Raihan Rafi's “Pressure Cooker”, which was released during Eid-ul-Fitr and earned her praise for her performance. However, she did not take part in the film's promotional activities.
The actress had remained away from the spotlight for an extended period after becoming a mother. She recently announced the birth of her daughter, Sharlin Khan. Following her maternity break, she is now preparing to make her acting comeback with renewed enthusiasm.
In “Dhakaiya Debdas”, Bubly will star opposite Ador Azad. Zahid Hossain is directing the film.
The director said the production team has been in regular contact with Bubly, and she has agreed to begin filming in September, subject to her continued recovery and physical well-being.
“Dhakaiya Debdas” is being made against the backdrop of Old Dhaka's culture and way of life. Zahid Hossain also said that Bubly is currently focusing on caring for herself and her daughter, so the team will proceed with filming the remaining portions of the project before she joins the shoot.
