Shooting begins for Mehedi Hassan Hridoy’s web film ‘Lapatta’
Shooting for filmmaker Mehedi Hasan Hridoy’s web film “Lapatta” begins at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) today (August 8) in Dhaka.
Nusraat Faria is playing the central female character in the film. Nasir Uddin Khan and Joy are also part of the cast.
Director Mehedi Hassan Hridoy said, “We are shooting the first day at BFDC. Over the next few days, we will shoot at 300 Feet, Purbachal, and locations outside Dhaka. It is basically a comedy thriller.”
The web film is scheduled to be released on the OTT platform iScreen during Durga Puja.
“We are trying to present something new and different for the audience,” the director added.
Nusraat Faria said the story revolves around her character and combines suspense, thrill and emotion. “I will be seen in the female lead in this web film. The entire story revolves around this character. I believe it will be a different experience for the audience, with suspense, thrill and emotion all combined,” she said.
“It is a comedy thriller. The story is very interesting and different. Alongside the thriller elements, it also has some great elements of comedy,” she added.
