Ashes to release new songs every 15 days from upcoming albums
Popular Bangladeshi band Ashes has announced a staggered release strategy for its upcoming music, confirming that new songs will be unveiled every 15 days as part of two albums — “Bivrom” and “Danahin Pakhi”.
The rollout has already begun with the release of “Feriwala”, a track from the “Bivrom” album composed and written by vocalist Junaed Evan. The song has quickly drawn attention from listeners, prompting growing curiosity about when the full albums will be available.
Responding to that, the band said releasing complete albums in the traditional cassette or CD format is no longer viable. Instead, they aim to deliver all tracks gradually, ensuring each song reaches audiences individually.
Drummer Tawfiq Ahmed Bijoy said the band remains driven by its passion to create and share music. “We want every track to reach listeners properly. After announcing the albums, we saw strong curiosity among fans, so we decided to release songs every 15 days. This way, all tracks from both albums will be out within the year,” he said.
Band members described the albums as the result of nearly a decade of work, combining both older compositions and newer material. Some songs were previously performed live but are being officially released for the first time, each carrying its own story and undergoing extensive refinement in composition and arrangement.
Evan added that the albums explore themes beyond materialism, focusing instead on emotion and human experience. “We’ve tried to highlight how simple moments — like watching the sky or walking in the rain — can shape our feelings. Alongside that, ideas of existence and inner conflict also run through the songs,” he said.
Alongside the releases, Ashes continues to perform regularly. The band is set to embark on a European tour in early June, with planned concerts in Rome, Venice and Paris. A show on June 16 has already been confirmed, while other dates are expected to be announced soon.
After returning from Europe, the band plans to continue performing across Bangladesh while also working on new music. Members have hinted that another album may follow after the completion of “Bivrom” and “Danahin Pakhi”.
The current lineup of Ashes includes Junaed Evan (vocals), Sultan Rafsan Khan (lead guitar), Wahid Uz Zaman Turjo (bass), Adnan Bin Zaman (keyboard) and Tawfiq Ahmed Bijoy (drums).
