Hridoy Khan to release new single ‘Hahakar’
Popular singer and music composer Hridoy Khan is set to release a new solo track after a long hiatus. Titled “Hahakar”, the song is written by contemporary lyricist Someshwar Oli, while composition and music arrangement have been done by the artiste himself.
The song will be released on April 24 on the singer’s official YouTube channel.
Speaking about the release, Hridoy Khan said, “I haven’t been very consistent with my music over the past few years. But I realised that even if I couldn’t maintain that continuity, the audience’s expectations have not faded. They kept asking for new songs and wanted to find that familiar Hridoy Khan again. ‘Hahakar’ was created from that demand.”
He added that he has tried to bring back the melodic style that once defined his musical identity. “I have tried to revive the melody that gave me my distinct recognition. I hope this new song will meet listeners’ expectations,” he said.
Earlier this year, Hridoy Khan released his short film “Trapped” on his official YouTube channel. Apart from directing the project, he also acted in it, alongside popular model and actor Monalisa.
The film had been in the making for nearly four years, as the singer took time to refine its production. It was finally released on January 16, along with the song “Shada Kalo”.
For the track, Hridoy Khan not only lent his voice but also composed and arranged the music. He also directed the music video, with cinematography by Ali Afroze Arnob.
