Ishaan Mozumder releases new track ‘Jabo Jabo Mon’
Singer-songwriter Ishaan Mozumder, who rose to prominence with songs such as “Darale Duare”, “Nithur Monohor”, “Jene Niyo” and “Gulbahar”, has released a new song titled “Jabo Jabo Mon”. The track was unveiled yesterday to mark Maghi Purnima.
Announcing the release on Facebook, Ishaan wrote, “I couldn’t hold on to this song anymore, so I’ve let it go to the listeners. For a long time, it stayed very close to my soul. It caused a lot of pain too—perhaps that weight will feel a little lighter today.”
The response has been swift. Within 17 hours of release, the music video crossed more than 22,000 views on YouTube, drawing over 300 comments from listeners. Many praised the song’s emotional depth and nostalgic feel. One listener commented that it was “one of the most beautiful songs heard in a long time,” while another noted that Ishaan’s music carries “a strong ’90s vibe that lingers for days.” Several fans called the track a potential “masterpiece.”
The lyrics of “Jabo Jabo Mon” were written by Jash Namudar, while the music was jointly composed and arranged by Ishaan himself and Dippro Ahmed. The music video features performances by Abdullah Al Sentu and Marshia Shawon.
In addition to “Jabo Jabo Mon”, Ishaan has recorded two to three more songs, which he plans to release sequentially in the coming months. He also has several unreleased compositions in progress.
Ishaan Mozumder first gained widespread recognition in 2023 after performing “Darale Duare” on Coke Studio Bangla. Born and raised in Dhaka, he continues to build a growing body of work that blends contemporary songwriting with classic Bangla influences.
