James to perform in Gaibandha today

Rock 'Guru' James and his band Nagar Baul are travelling to Gaibandha this evening, and will perform the song 'I Love You'.  They will serenade Gaibandha Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium, at the Student Welfare Concert 2022.

The concert, organised by Public University Student Association of Gaibandha (PUSAG) will begin today at 5 pm. The tickets are being sold through various mediums.

The officer-in-charge of Gaibandha Sadar Police Station, Md Masudar Rahman, confirmed the news to The Daily Star.

"PUSAG is an organization of students from Gaibandha who study in various public universities in the country.  The money earned from this concert will be spent on the welfare of the meritorious students of the district," said Kanak Mahmood, a member of PUSAG. "The money will be spent on those students who cannot get admission due to insufficient funds or cannot continue studying due to financial problems. "

Tickets in three categories were available for this concert, the organizers further informed.  Tickets for the gallery were sold for BDT 200, whereas ground slots and chair seats were sold for BDT 300 and BDT 500, respectively.
