Director Robiul Shikdar's telefilm "CNG Driver" has been officially selected to be screened at the 20th Pune International Short Film Festival.

Produced by Impress Telefilm, the film was aired on Channel i, in 2019.

The project already won awards in four categories, including best storyline and best actress among others, in NexGn International Short Film Festival, being the finalist of the event in December 2021.

Lead actress of the project, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, was appreciated for her portrayal of a CNG-run auto rickshaw driver. "The telefilm was based on the struggles of women in our society," says Robiul. "The society is constructed in such a way that people cannot accept a woman in a profession usually held by a man, gender roles are quite fixed. This was our attempt to showcase the struggles of women, who are often restricted to gender roles."
