By Arts & Entertainment Desk

Duronto TV has announced a full day of special programming to mark Christmas, featuring dramas, cooking shows and dance performances aimed at young viewers and families.

As part of the festive lineup, a special episode of the drama series "Hoi Hoi Holla – Season 3" will be aired. The story centres on Dr Safdar Chowdhury and the children living in different flats of his building, who come together to celebrate Christmas. Safdar Chowdhury secretly plans to surprise everyone by dressing up as Santa Claus and delivering gifts at night, with Meghdut and Adrita joining him in the plan.

However, events take an unexpected turn when all the Christmas gifts, along with the Santa costume, are stolen. The situation becomes more confusing when two Santa Clauses appear with the stolen presents, raising questions about who they are and how Safdar Chowdhury's gifts reached them. This mystery forms the core of the Christmas special drama.

Child actors Kazi Afra Evelina, Ishraq Turja, Samadrita Prohor, Ayaz Mahmud, Raida Ri Juni and Kawsar Bin Mamun appear in the drama, alongside Abul Hayat, Shahanaz Khushi and others. The episode is directed by Partha Pratim Haldar and will be broadcast on December 25 at 1 pm and 9 pm.

Duronto TV will also air a Christmas special edition of the cooking show "Banai Mojar Khabar Maa-Baba Aar Ami", focusing on festive recipes. The episode will feature Hanshen Lucas Adhikari Taman, who appears with his mother as they cook and share stories while preparing Christmas dishes such as fruit cake, fruit salad, duck steak and sautéed vegetables. The programme is directed by Amina Noshin Raisa and hosted by culinary expert Afifa Akhtar Lita. It will be broadcast on December 25 at 2 pm and 7 pm.

In addition, a special dance programme titled "Aji Shubhodine" will be aired at 12 pm on Christmas Day.
