Ekushey specials on television today
The world celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity on International Mother Language Day today. Observing the day, several satellite channels will be airing tele-fictions, movies, and musical programmes.
With that in mind, The Daily Star brings you a compilation of some notable television shows that will be aired in the country.

BTV
Prabhatferi was broadcasted live at 6 am from Shaheed Minar. A special drama titled "Bhul Siddhanto" written by Hasan Rejaul will be aired at 9 pm. The drama features Golam Kibria Tanvir, Sushama Sarkar, and Saberi Alam in the lead roles. Apart from this, there will be a musical program "Bornomala", a Children's program, a documentary show "Ekush Mane Matha Noto Na kora" and poetry recitation.
ATN Bangla
A special movie titled "Bangla" directed by Shahidul Islam Khokon will be aired at 3 pm. There will also be a special tele-fiction "Icchemoto" directed by Tuhin Hossain which will air at 8.50 pm.
Deepto TV
A special film titled "Lalsalu", directed by Tanvir Mokammel and featuring Raisul Islam Asad, Munira Yusuf, and Chandni in the lead roles will be aired at 1 pm.
Maasranga
Language Day special drama, "Okkhor Shakkhor" directed by Kachi Khandakar will be aired at 10.30 pm.
Channel i
At 12.05 pm, there will be a poetry recitation show "Ekusher Kobita". A special film, "Fagun Haway" directed by Tauquir Ahmed and featuring Siam Ahmed, and Nusrat Imrose Tisha, will be aired at 2.40 pm.
Boishakhi TV
A special drama titled "Bhasha O Bhalobasha" will be aired at 10 pm. Directed by Lutfun Nahar Moushumi, the drama features Arifin Shuvoo and German actress Eva Mojiul in the lead roles.
