Ilias Kanchan, Nipun form panel for Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association elections

Ilias Kanchan and Nipun are contenders for the positions of the President and General Secretary respectively, in the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association elections for 2022-2024. They are competing from the same panel.

"We will march forward with all the artistes of the film fraternity and ensure that all members of this family are treated equally," shared Ilias Kanchan. "I have a sparkling new committee as a gift for this year."

"We will try and champion a number of projects this year so that we can accommodate work for everyone," said Nipun. "We only want to take this sector forward and thus, have decided to participate in the elections,"

Noted actors Misha Sawdagor and Zayed Khan, who served as the President and General Secretary respectively in the previous term, will be leading with their panel this year too.

The seventeenth edition of the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association elections will be held on January 28. A general meeting, with all the existing members of the organisation, will be held today.

Pirzada Harun will be the election commissioner with members B H Nishan and Bazlur Rashed Chowdhury. Sohanur Rahman Sohan will serve as the chair of the appeal board, while Mohammad Hossain Jaimy will serve as a member of the appeal group.
