‘Rehana Maryam Noor’ not in Oscars shortlist

The Abdullah Mohammad Saad directorial "Rehana Maryam Noor" was sent to the 94th Academy Awards in the International Feature Film category this year from Bangladesh Oscar Selection Committee. However, the film did not make it to the shortlist for Oscars 2022.

10 award categories were announced earlier today by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

15 films from around the world were shortlisted in the international feature film category, for which films from 92 countries were submitted.

 The Azmeri Haque Badhon starrer "Rehana Maryam Noor" earned accolades in different international film festivals. It made history as the first film from Bangladesh to be screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, earlier this year.
