‘You can’t take India out of me’
Noted actress Priyanka Chopra has been busy promoting her upcoming film, "The Matrix Resurrections". She will be seen essaying the role of Sati in the film. Directed by Lana Wachowski, "The Matrix Resurrections" also brings back Keanu Reeves as Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity.
In a recent interview, Priyanka opened up about how she always stays true to her roots and is surrounded by elements of Indian culture wherever she goes.
"You can take me out of India but you can't take India out of me. My culture or me being who I am just sort of goes with me in a bubble wherever I'm. So I never feel like I'm away from home at all. My home is always with me, my mandir (altar) is always with me, my mom is always with me, my achaar (pickles) is always with me. So you know I'm good. I don't ever feel that way," she told Indian media.
Priyanka also added that she has been very strategic, as she always wanted to balance working in both India and the USA, because there are very few artistes around the world who have been able to do that.
"The Matrix Resurrections" is the fourth instalment of the franchise and is set to release on December 22. The film also stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jessica Henwick, Christina Ricci, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jonathan Groff.
