SCHWARZENEGGER, STALLONE, WILLIS to hit Cannes in Soviet tanks

Hollywood action stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sly Stallone, Bruce Willis are set to cruise down the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in Soviet-era tanks. The stars will attend the fest for their upcoming movie `The Expendables 3`, reportedly. Other cast members Mel Gibson, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas and Kellan Lutz will also join the brigade. An after-party will follow at Gotha nightclub with guests such as Robert De Niro.

First trailer for Interstellar hits the web

Christopher Nolan's new movie has been shrouded in secrecy — an impressive feat in this day and age (the movie opens on November 7, 2014). Matthew McConaughey leads a star studded cast from the Nolan brothers. Last week, the first trailer for Interstellar from Warner Bros, Paramount and Legendary hit the web, and have been viewed a couple of million times in a matter of days on YouTube. The movie is set at a time when Earth is nearing a point when mankind can no longer survive in it, and when a wormhole is newly discovered, a team of explorers and scientists embarks on a voyage through it to transcend previous limitations on human space travel.

The duo has earlier worked in hit movies like `Band Baja Baarat` and `Ladies vs Ricky Bahl`, and their chemistry have enchanted one and all. Ranveer, who is allegedly dating Deepika Padukone, says that he shares a special bond with Anushka and is looking forward to work with her. Flash was originally introduced in the Arrow TV series as a sidekick, but with Arrow episodes with Barry Allen in them reaching unexpectedly high hit rates with viewers, CW has decided to turn Flash into its own TV show, the first extended trailer for which was released last week. And boy does it look amazing! Grant Gustin will be playing the iconic lead role, as he appeared on two episodes of the television series Arrow as the character of Barry Allen. This means that the world of Arrow and Flash will be a shared universe, and the first episode of the new series will also feature the Arrow. The pilot is planned to air later this year.

`The Runner`. The political thriller will take place in the aftermath of the tragic BP oil spill happening in 2010, reportedly. Producer Austin Stark (`Infinitely Polar Bear`) is confirmed to sit behind the lens, making his writing and directorial debut with the upcoming project. "For my first film as a director, I`m honoured to be working alongside one of the finest living actors, Nicolas Cage. `The Runner`, a contemporary political drama, is new and exciting territory for Mr Cage," Stark said.

Vidya meets real life female detectives for BOBBY JASOOS

Vidya Balan is meeting some real-life female detectives for her role in the upcoming film `Bobby Jasoos`. Vidya, who will be playing a gumshoe in the movie, has been interacting with women detectives apparently to get first-hand information about their work. In the course of her training and preparation, the actress is trying to pick tricks of trade to give a touch of authenticity to her on screen role. "Vidya has been meeting a lot of female detectives and it was surprising that most of them are housewives who have taken this up as a part time job," Spokesperson of `Bobby Jasoos` said in a statement.

HALO TV SERIES TO LAUNCH IN FALL 2015

The Halo series will debut in the fall of 2015 and will coincide with the release of the next entry in the game series, Halo 5: Guardians. According to Bonnie Ross, general manager of Halo producer 343 Industries, the television series “will stand alone, as well as complement and enrich the game experience.” Microsoft is using the upcoming E3 2014 as an opportunity to showcase what the Xbox One is capable of, which is the main thrust of a recent trailer. The production has big names attached to it: Director Ridley Scott is developing it (he just cast the lead), and Steven Spielberg is producing it. The show is likely to air on Showtime and Microsoft's Xbox One.
