Christian Bale in Talks for Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs Biopic
Sony's biopic of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs (not to be confused with 2013′s Jobs, which starred Ashton Kutcher as the tech icon) has had a pretty eventful pre-production stage. Danny Boyle (127 Hours) is signed on to direct after David Fincher departed, and he's currently on the hunt for his leading man. The Hollywood Reporter is stating that Sony is starting negotiations with Christian Bale, who coincidentally enough was Fincher's choice back when the Gone Girl director was in talks, to portray Jobs.

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS
to host 2015 Oscars ceremony
The 87th Academy Awards ceremony will be held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on February 22, 2015 – and the show will be hosted by none other than How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris, who has built up an illustrious career as an awards host in recent years. As anyone who has followed Harris' career knows, the man possesses several talents that make him an ideal choice to host an awards show. Film and TV viewers are well aware of his comedic timing, but Harris is also very musically gifted, having hosted the Tonys four times. So not only will he be able to whip witty quips around the celebrity-filled audience, he should knock out an opening musical number with ease. Plus, Harris has experience hosting non-musical awards shows as well, with two stints as the Emmys host (most recently in 2013).

A LEGO BATMAN MOVIE IS COMING
Will Arnett as Batman has become so popular since the Lego Movie that Warner Bros. have decided to give the character his own big screen spin-off! Adam McKay, the animation supervisor for The Lego Movie, will direct the film, which is being written by author-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith. Warner Bros. is said to be eyeing a 2017 release for the spinoff, perhaps even on the original release date for the Lego Movie sequel, which has been pushed back to sometime after 2017. Will Arnett (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), who took Christian Bale's grave voice to an extreme, will reprise his role as Batman, while Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the custodians of the Lego screen brand are producing. Lego Batman already heads a very popular franchise. There have been at least three video games as well as a straight-to-video Lego Batman: The Movie — DC Super Heroes Unite, where Troy Baker (Batman: Assault on Arkham) provided the voice for the Dark Knight.

Iron Man and Captain America 3 to
heat up box office in 2016 together!
Fans are screaming everywhere with Marvel's latest announcement about Captain America 3. Robert Downey Jr. is on the verge of signing on to “Captain America 3,” a move that would bring the Civil War storyline from Marvel's comic books to the big screen and trigger the start of a new phase of movies from Marvel Studios. The actor is in final negotiations to play billionaire Tony Stark in the third installment, which is slated to begin production in the Spring for a May 6, 2016 release. Downey is already set to suit up as Iron Man for next year's “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “The Avengers 3.” The deal is significant for the Marvel cinematic universe considering the plot will pit Stark against Captain America's alter-ego Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, as they feud over the Superhero Registration Act, which forces anyone with superhuman abilities to reveal their identities to the U.S. government and agree to act as a police force for the authorities.
