Talk shows
Talk shows organised by the electronic media are now popular in Bangladesh. People, by and large, are interested to listen to such discussions on different issues in the absence of parliament, since they like to know what is going to happen next. Some people take part in talk shows to project themselves as intellectuals and some really mean to contribute to the nation. Unfortunately, there is no system of monitoring the deliberations of talk shows or to record the suggestions. Besides, the telecast of talk shows late at night or repetition of the same during the working hours really make the shows meaningless. The print media may also sometimes publish some useful proceedings of talk shows, like important articles they publish every day on different issues.
