Fire breaks out at Ctg port
Many goods and documents of New Mooring Container Terminal (NTC) at the Chittagong port were gutted in a fire yesterday.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at a room of the terminal.
Fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
The sources estimated the damages to be around Tk 10,000.
In another incident, three houses were gutted in a fire in Satkania upazila in the afternoon.
Local fire fighters doused the fire after one hour long effort.
The affected house owners estimated the damages at about Tk 6 lakh.
