Ctg city unit BNP vice-president released on bail
Vice-president of Chittagong city unit BNP, Abu Sufian, was released on bail from Chittagong central jail yesterday.
A High Court bench comprising Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice Jahangir Alam passed the bail order.
Leaders and activists of city unit BNP including its president and general secretary hosted a reception for Sufian at Lal Dighi Maidan.
Later, the city unit BNP leaders addressed a brief rally demanding release of other BNP leaders.
Sufian is accused in a case filed for vandalising vehicles during the countrywide hartal on December 11 last year. He was arrested and sent to jail on the same day.
