Sonai Sarkar remembered
Khilgaon Model University College yesterday organised a condolence and discussion meeting at its auditorium in remembrance of Sonai Sarkar, mother of Kanai Lal Sarkar, the college's principal.
Eighty-five-year old Sonai Sarkar passed away on December 8 last year.
Presided over by Nazrul Islam, chairman of the college's Accounting Department, Kanai Lal Sarkar, Hamidul Huq, chairman of Islamic History and Culture Department, M Viqarunnisa, chairman of Political Science Department, Syed Fazlul Huq, chairman of Marketing Department, and Dr Asaduzzaman Rintu, a member of the college's governing body , among others, spoke at the function.
