HC bench refuses to move bail petition of Amar Desh editor over Skype Scam
A High Court bench yesterday refused to pass any order on a bail petition filed by Bangla daily Amar Desh acting editor Mahmudur Rahman and its publisher Hasmat Ali in connection with a case.
The case was filed with Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Dhaka against the duo last December for publishing a Skype conversation between former International Crimes Tribunal-1 chairman Justice Md Nizamul Huq and expatriate Bangladeshi legal expert Ahmed Ziauddin.
The HC bench yesterday also sent back the bail petitions to the petitioners.
