Female RMG worker found dead
A female garment worker was found dead in a drain near her residence in Bayezid of Chittagong city yesterday.
Monwara Khatun, 18, daughter of rickshaw-puller Abdul Hamid, of Comilla, resided at Shantinagar.
Monwara headed for Green Fair Garment Factory on Monday morning but did not return by her usual time 10:00pm. In the morning, police recovered the body wrapped with a katha (a piece of cloth) and a scarf tied around the neck that indicates Monwara was strangled, said Bayezid police.
Police sent the body to Chittagong Medical College morgue for autopsy and filed a case with Bayezid Police Station.
