Dr Kamal tells journalists on CG issue
The political standoff over the caretaker government issue can be resolved in 30 minutes if political parties are sincerely willing, said Gonoforum President Dr Kamal Hossain yesterday.
He was presiding over a press conference, organised to discuss over “Jatiya Oikyer Daak†(call for national unity), in his Baily Road residence in the capital.
Last November, Bikolpodhara Bangladesh Chairman Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury and Dr Kamal jointly made the call, urging honest politicians and professional body leaders, irrespective of their political affiliation, to unite under it.
The next general election can be held under a non-party interim government if everyone agrees, said the eminent jurist, adding that the convention of the call would take place on March.
