Film star's death
Film star Manna who dominated the country's cinema as a hero for more than two decades died of a heart attack very recently. His death was a complete shock to the cinema industry as well as millions of his fans.
I was not a movie fan but I used to see glimpses of his movies or songs on television. He was truly a legend. I got his death news when I was coming from a long trip and on my way I received the news which made me speechless for a while.
A man with no movie background came and ruled the industry for more than two decades. It's something he never dreamed of. He won the hearts of millions of Bangladeshis by playing the hero fighting against corruption in around 200 films since making his screen debut in 1985.
His sudden demise was a great loss to Bangladesh's film industry. He was the king and will remain a king to his fans. Let us not forget the contribution he made to the Bangladesh film industry.
