Missing rail clips
The mass scale stealing of railway clips, a potential train accident hazard has come in the daily news. Meanwhile the police and other related agencies are busy catching politicians, profiteers and such like who, however, are a not in any way a hazard to the potential injury and death of common innocent rail travellers.
Meanwhile, robbers, thieves, muggers, extortionists and such likes are making hay while the sun shines. Rail clip stealing in mass scale is a new leaf in their span of badness, going unchecked by default! This is a new "negative" innovation! If allowed to go without serious measures to prevent this, we may well see the theft of rail bolts, fish plates and even lengths of rail tracks in future. What has the caretaker government got to say and do about it
May be stopping crimes like theft, robbery, muggings and killings are beyond the CG's priorities, which is only to "eliminate corruption" and that to only for political and business related sectors. Elsewhere in the country, as word of mouth reports go, it still goes on, albeit with and added safety premium or surcharge! Perhaps officially it will be shrugged off as rumours! But experience shows that rumours tend to germinate from hidden or masked facts! But what can we say on the matter; for us it is "see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil" is the order of the day!
