Prime concern
What has been the most recent subject of concern that has finally compelled all the people in this world to think alike? What is that one problem that has given an opportunity to all the actors and key players to show their concern in real life? As you all must have guessed by now, it is the issue of global warming. But don't turn the page yet, because this is not one of those millions of essays on global warming. It is about how small countries like ours are making a significant contribution to the " Healing Process" without being aware of it. Well, it is neither the existence of an insignificant number of industries in our country that can emit harmful greenhouse gases in the environment, nor is it the fact that the majority of people cannot afford appliances like air conditioners and washing machines, it is the price hike of liquid fuel in the global market!
I know that most of you are really confused now, but it is true. It is because of this very reason that most car owners in the country got their car's fuel system changed so that their cars run on natural gas, instead of liquid fuel (This though was possible due to the ample reserves of natural gas in our part of the world) Today almost 80% of the cars in the capital use gas, instead of petrol and octane, which have been major causes behind the calamity. I am sure a lot of you who have done this do certainly feel proud of yourselves right now, as most of you must have thought that you were merely saving you expenses.
Countries like the United States, Australia and Canada are making diligent efforts to reduce the dependence of their automobiles on oil, not just to reduce global warming but also to strengthen their economies further. This also means that an achievement of this kind will be a major boost to our economy in the near future. Honestly, as a citizen of a poor country, I feel very proud as we have accomplished what many rich countries couldn't!
Technically, there is no conclusion to the topic that I have just addressed. But there is a message for all Bangladeshis. A message that asks every one to focus on the achievements rather than the failures, so that at the end of the day we can recognise our potentials, our assets and our talents and make the best of ourselves, for the sake of our beloved motherland.
