Man shot dead, another injured in Ctg’s Fatikchhari, police say

A man was shot dead and another injured after unidentified armed men opened fire on them in Chattogram’s Fatikchhari upazila this evening, police said.

The deceased was identified as Md Jamal Uddin, 45, and the injured as Nasir, Additional Superintendent of Police (Hathazari Circle) Kazi Tarek Aziz told The Daily Star.

The incident took place around 7:30pm in the Shah Nagar area of Fatikchhari, he said.

“Jamal was shot by unidentified men and died on the spot, while Nasir sustained critical injuries. We are heading to the spot,” he added.
