BNP’s Asaduzzaman wins Jhenaidah-1

BNP candidate and former attorney general Md Asaduzzaman has unofficially won from the Jhenaidah-1 (Shailkupa) constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

According to unofficial results received from all polling centres, Asaduzzaman secured 171,756 votes, while his nearest rival, Jamaat candidate Matiur Rahman, obtained 55,930 votes.

Assistant Returning Officer and Shailkupa Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahfuzur Rahman confirmed the result to The Daily Star
