CWI appreciates BCB's ‘very high standard’ arrangements during WI tour

Cricket West Indies (CWI) appreciated the Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) efforts in organizing a safe and successful tour for the Caribbean outfit that ended earlier this month. 

A 38-member contingent from the West Indies arrived in the country on January 10. And during a month-long tour, the Windies played three ODIs and a two-Test series in Dhaka and Chattogram. Bangladesh won the ODI series 3-0 while the visitors, who were without most of their first-choice players, whitewashed the Tigers in the two-Test series. 

In a letter sent to the BCB, the CWI praised the implementation of "very high standard" logistical arrangements by the hosts for the tour. The CWI also expressed their gratitude towards BCB for a "successful and safe" tour.  

"It is really a great thing that we were able to host the West Indies successfully and without any hitches during this coronavirus pandemic. It gives us confidence that we were able to arrange everything accordingly returning to cricket after almost a year-long gap. It is the result of the hard work that we put in to arrange the tour. The fact that we have been appreciated by the CWI for such a successful tour also sends a positive message towards other international sides who are to tour Bangladesh in future," said BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury to The Daily Star today.
