Siddikur makes cut in Bangalore

Bangladesh's premier golfer Siddikur Rahman narrowly made the cut in the TAKE Solution Masters in Bangalore yesterday despite an aggregate of two-over-par (144).

The 32-year-old golfer, who claimed third position in the two-million-euro Porsche European Open in Hamburg last week, managed an even par in the second round on Friday after having gone two-over in the opening round at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) Golf Course on the previous day.

The two-time Asian Tour winner went through to the weekend rounds in joint 49th position as a total of 66 golfers made the cut in this 300,000-dollar event.

Overnight leader Poom Saksansin of Thailand stretched his lead to four shots after firing 67 yesterday following a 64 on the previous day.
