Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Tuesday that Facebook will be expanding its 'Shops' feature to WhatsApp and Facebook Marketplace in order to 'support businesses and make shopping easier'.

In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg revealed that users will soon be able to view a Shops feature in WhatsApp so they can chat with a business before buying something. Businesses will be required to set up their shop once to have it work across all three Facebook-owned social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Facebook is also bringing Instagram Visual Search, a feature that will let users discover products based on an image-based search.

Speaking in a live audio room on Facebook, Zuckerberg also revealed that Facebook is working on an augmented reality tool that will allow shoppers to virtually try on an item before buying it.
