“Transformers: Age of Extinction” <br>Has 2014's Biggest Opening Day - $121 million earned in one da

So much for the bad critical reviews! "Transformers:
Age of Extinction", the newest installment of the unending death-destruction-mayhem franchise with giant robots who turn into the best looking cars on the planet, turned grim forecasts around on Friday (27 June 2014) to score the biggest opening day of 2014 worldwide. The Michael Bay-helmed sequel pulled in an estimated $41.6 million in the US, which includes all preview and IMAX screenings, and a global total outside US of $80 million. Compare that to the opening day hauls of the two biggest openers of the year so far - "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" with $36.9 million and "Godzilla" with $38.4 million (US figures)! The film also opened in Bangladesh at Cineplex at the same time as the rest of the world, but be warned – its 165 minutes long!
