‘Dhurandhar 2’ now streaming on Netflix

“Dhurandhar: The Revenge” has begun streaming on Netflix internationally in a raw and uncut version, featuring extended scenes and graphic content that were not shown in theatres.

The film started streaming on Netflix outside India on May 14, eight weeks after its theatrical release. In India, the film will be available on JioHotstar, though no release date has been announced yet.

The international OTT version includes several extended and more graphic sequences. In the opening scene, Jaskirat is shown bashing a man with a hammer without cuts. In the climax at Muridke, the scene where he crushes a man’s head with a cement block is also shown in full. In the Lyari gang war segment, a sequence of Jaskirat, also known as Hamza, attacking a man with a burning fireball is extended.

The uncut version also retains all curse words without muting or censorship, with subtitles reflecting the dialogues more accurately. Additional beheading scenes have been included. Apart from the killing of Arshad Pappu, the film shows Hamza beheading multiple gangsters using a shop shutter during the Lyari episode.

One of the most talked-about additions is a scene involving Uzair Baloch. While it was only hinted at in theatres, the OTT version shows Uzair playing football with Arshad Pappu’s severed head, along with an extra shot previously seen in the trailer. Another change is seen in Jaskirat’s reaction to Pinda’s death, where the character appears calmer than in the theatrical version.

The film follows an Indian spy operating in Karachi and features a large ensemble cast, including Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. The first film in the franchise also starred Akshaye Khanna as the antagonist.

The two films in the franchise have collectively grossed over ₹3,100 crore worldwide. Meanwhile, “Dhurandhar 2” continues to run in theatres across India.
