Shakira to return to India this April with two-city tour
Latin pop star Shakira is set to return to India this April with concerts in Mumbai and Delhi, marking her first major performance in the country in nearly two decades.
The Grammy-winning Colombian artiste will perform at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on April 10, 2026, followed by a show at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on April 15. Her last major appearance in India was in 2007 during the “Oral Fixation” tour.
In a statement, Shakira said she looks forward to reconnecting with audiences in both cities. She added that the tour is aimed at raising awareness about child nutrition and supporting access to food for vulnerable communities.
The concerts are being organised under the Feeding India initiative in collaboration with District by Zomato. This will be the first time the initiative’s concert format expands to multiple cities.
Shakira is among the best-selling Latin artistes worldwide, with more than 100 million records sold. She has been named Billboard’s Top Female Latin Artist of the Decade twice. Her recent “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” tour set a Guinness World Record as the highest-grossing tour by a Latin artiste.
Tickets for the India shows will be available exclusively on District. HSBC credit cardholders will receive 48-hour early access from 12pm IST on February 27 until 12pm IST on March 1, with general sales beginning at 1pm IST on March 1.
